Installer aMSN sur Ubuntu avec Aptitude
Aptitude est une application non graphique (je vous vois déjà tirer la langue :p) qui permet d’installer très très facilement une application présente dans les dépôts. Sachez que l’on peut toujours ajouter de nouvelles adresses d’applications aux dépôts, mais ce sera l’objet d’autres tutoriaux. Pour notre premier exemple, j’ai choisi le célèbre logiciel de messagerie instantanée : aMSN. C’est parti !Aptitude étant une application non graphique, il faut commencer par ouvrir un terminal pour l’utiliser.
Vous voilà donc face à ce fameux terminal qui fait tant grincer les dents ! Vous allez voir que c’est souvent à tort…
Nous allons commencer par vérifier que l’application que nous cherchons (aMSN) est disponible en utilisant la commande aptitude search amsn.
Oh ! aMSN est présent dans les dépôts ! Comme c’est étrange non ? Comme je suis trop fort… Non ? Non, bon, ok. Allez, on installe le paquet. La commande est simple, c’est sudo aptitude install amsn. “Sudo” signifie que vous demandez à lancer la commande avec les privilèges d’administration. Du coup, le système vous demande d’entrer votre mot de passe.
Et là, c’est le drame : vous n’arrivez pas à taper votre mot de passe ! Eh eh eh… vous voyez bien que vous aviez besoin de moi ! En fait, il y a une astuce. Tapez le mot de passe sans regarder l’écran. Rien ne s’affiche, mais les touches pressées sont tout de même prises en compte. Une fois votre mot de passe saisi, pressez la touche [Entrée]. Le système liste les fichiers à installer et vous demande de confirmer, faites-le.
L’installation se déroule alors.
Une fois l’installation terminée, vous revenez au prompt de départ, il ne vous laisse qu’à fermer le terminal via la commande exit et vous pourrez constater qu’aMSN est désormais disponible dans votre menu internet.
Alors ? Qui a dit que c’était compliqué d’utiliser un terminal ? Et encore, vous n’avez pas tout vu ! Dans d’autres tutos je vous montrerai que l’on peut en demander bien plus à cette petite fenêtre au tiret clignotant 
euh moi sa ne veut pas s’installer, je le retrouve pas dans mes aplications, comment dois je faire ?

Bonjour, utilisateur récent de linux, je viens d’installer amsn en suivant les instructions présente sur votre site qui d’ailleurs fais maintenant parti de mes favoris.
Donc, j’arrive a ouvrir amsn mais celui ci n’arrive pas a se connecter.
Ca reste sur connnection avec la barre qui fait des aller retour. Si vous pouvez m’eclairer sur ce problème, je vous en remercie d’avance.

pour ma part, je découvre ubuntu après des années de window et c’est bien la 1ere fois qu’une installation pour laquellej’ai besoin d’un tuto marche du 1er coup !!
