Installer aMSN avec Rpmdrake
Rpmdrake est le gestionnaire graphique d’applications sous Mandriva. Il n’y a donc pas besoin de savoir utiliser sa distribution sur le bout des ongles pour être capable de l’utiliser. Pour notre première utilisation de cette application ô combien pratique, j’ai choisi de vous faire installer un logiciel que vous aviez certainement l’intention d’ajouter à votre système : le célèbre client msn aMSN !Rpmdrake est soigneusement rangé dans votre menu sous une appellation qui marque plus sa fonction que son nom réel : “Installer et désinstaller des logiciels”.
L’installation (et la désinstallation) de logiciels ne peut être faite que par l’administrateur du système : root ! Vous comprenez sans doute mieux maintenant pourquoi j’ai autant insisté sur le fait qu’il fallait absolument que vous vous rappeliez de ce mot de passe ! Avant même le lancement de Rpmdrake, il vous est demandé. Renseignez donc ce mot de passe et validez.
Vous voilà donc face à l’interface de Rpmdrake ! Vous allez voir qu’elle est assez intuitive. Quel est l’application que nous souhaitons installer déjà ? Ah oui ! aMSN ! Tapons donc ce que nous recherchons dans le champ “Rechercher” et validons en appuyant sur la touche [Entrée].
Tiens, il semble que deux paquets existent ! Qu’à cela ne tienne, prenons le premier. Pour ce faire, c’est archi-simple, il n’y a qu’à cocher la petite case à gauche du nom du paquet, ici “amsn”, et à cliquer sur le bouton “Valider”.
Pour pouvoir installer aMSN, un certain nombre d’autres paquets sont nécesaires. Par chance pour vous, Rpmdrake gère ces dépendances très bien tout seul et se contente de vous demander de les valider. Faites le.
Le reste de l’installation va s’effectuer tout seul. Vous n’avez qu’à regarder, même si cela va généralement assez vite. Lorsque c’est terminé, vous n’avez plus qu’à fermer Rpmdrake en cliquant sur le bouton “Quitter”.
Pour vérifier que l’installation s’est bien déroulée, il n’y a qu’à aller vérifier si aMSN est bien arrivé dans le menu “Internet” de votre système.
Vous pouvez désormais aller chatter avec vos amis. Qui a dit qu’installer une application sous Mandriva était difficile ? Mais vous verrez que tout n’est, quand même, pas toujours aussi simple, mais les cas particuliers feront l’objet d’autres tutos. A bientôt
